Today is also my Thrifty Thursday, for no other reason than I simply love alliteration!
Talize, my favourite thrift store ever had their 50% off everything sale. I love bargains; I consider thrift shopping the ultimate bargain hunting, but thrift at 50% off? Say no more.
These are some of the goodies I got.

From top left.
Vintage red top
Kensie Girl denim dress
Floral elastic waist top
Abercrombie and Fitch muscle shirt
Grey sweater dress
I realize none of these items are desperately calling out to spring and summer. Perhaps my unconscious mind was trying to tell me something? Cold and dreary does make me very melancholy.

But knowing that all these tags adds up to the price of one regular priced retail item makes me so sneak happy!
Let's take a closer look at these items.

I actually didn't pick this out. My boyfriend did. Side note, I am so happy he can go thrift shopping with me!
However, its way too tight on him so I stole it instead. Brings me back to my tomboy days where all I wore were boy clothes.

I love those huge buttons. I would totally wear this dress with obnoxious floral tights, cowboy boots and high pigtails.

This top is amazing. It embodies the essence of Talize. Sifting through everything just to find a gem like this. The colour is rich, the style is retro. Don't even get me started on the shoulder pads! I die!
I can't wait to take these babies out for spins.
In the more immediate future, I did get an item that would help me get through winter.

I call her my mage purse.
She was just resting nonchalantly when I saw her at Community Thrift and Vintage.
The day I stumbled upon this store made me very happy! It's located at 41 West Cordova Street between Carrall and Abbott.
Actually, today, they opened their second location on Carrall street. The new location will just sell women's items. It is also much closer to where I live!
I love easy shopping.
Back to my mage purse. She can be worn many ways. As a backpack.

For some reason, from this angle, everything just looks that much more important.
Especially when amplified by this oh-so-matching faux foxtail from Front and Company.
As an over the should bag.

The handle can be threaded over the metal loop to open up the sling.

She looks so cute from behind.

I love the aged leather detail on her. She has some history.

Sometimes, scars from the past, the ones that took a long time to form will resurface and hurt just as much.
As if to remind you of the person you used to be, where you came from. Those scars, as much as they may hurt, they were instrumental in shaping you as a person today.
Like these marks on this bag, I will never know when they happened or how they occurred. But I know without them, the bag would not be the same, nor will I love her as much.
Embrace that which it hurts us, I heard it builds character.
Let's end off on a happy note shall we? I am quite proud of this collage.

Yes, I just learned how to compose them and is now addicted! So, sue me!
Hope you all had a fantastic first day on the last month of the year.
[...] love this purse, I actually acquired her not too long ago. I love how they go so well [...]
