Sorry for the minor MIA, been busy with moving.
Happy Cyber Monday. Holiday shopping season has officially started. This move has put the breaks on my purchasing habit. It's actually a welcomed break.
I am going to be sharing a great packing tip with you guys today. It saved me so much time this move. My clothes went from one hanging closet to the other without me actually having to rehang any of them.
Let's get started.
You will need some garbage bags, bigger the better, ribbons or rope and you are in business.
Step 1, section off your clothes in manageable chunks. I would recommend about 10 hangers per batch. You can adjust depending on how heavy or thick your clothes are.
Step 2, thread the rope or ribbon (ribbon works a lot better) through the middle part of the hangers so it doesn't slip off.
You can tie it all up then bag them, or bag one section at a time.
Step 3, bag them up with garbage bags.
Move the garbage bags up all the way until to completely covers your clothes. That's why I recommend large bags.
Step 4, tie a double knot with the opening of the garbage bag around the hook part of the hangers.
The hangers will hook on to the edge of the garbage bags, along with the ribbon, this becomes a convenient handle.
Now you can easily move the clothes off the racks and carry them with you.
Just make sure all your hangers have the hook opening facing in. Otherwise this becomes much more difficult.
Just reverse the steps when you get to your new place and voila! Your closet will be restored!
Hope this can help you save some time next time you move.
