Golden Girl

Yesterday was Monday and a glorious one at that. A balmy 23 degrees Celsius and sunny blue skies as far as the eye can see.

Just so happens, I had the day off. I wish I was able to lie on a field of green and really connect with nature. Alas, life gets in the way and I spent most of the day running errands.

It wasn't until 6pm that I was able to embark on my journey home.

One the way though, I passed by this amazing store called Blim on Pender in Chinatown.

It's a cute multipurpose space that acts as a gallery, workshop and store front.

They make much of their one of a kind creations right in the store.

I was pulled in by their colourful window display (sorry, I did not take a photo).

Then, rewarded by the most amazing cowboy boots.

Isn't that just the most darling bag?

There, my pale gold almost mint Kentucky Western vintage cowboy boots.

I have always been a super fan of cowboy boots. I feel they go with everything.

I especially love the lining.

BAH! They are so beautiful, they make my heart stop.

Quick, I need a doctor.

Flowers

Where I come from, it is called the city of flowers. The mild weather all year round has made it an ideal place for plants to grow. Though I have since departed my birth place, but the flowers have always followed me.This time, it is in the form of this gorgeous dress from Gentille Alouette.

I practically live in cowboy boots. What a great way to wear something so masculine with something ever so feminine. This pair is vintage and a gift from a friend.

This is a fun summer dress. Maybe a little formal for everyday wear. But I don't follow rules.Jasmine Zhu wearing Convertible floral tube dress purchased at Gentille Alouette, Vintage Fashion, Thrift Fashion, Street Style, Style

Gentille Alouette is a beautiful boutique in the historical Gastown of Vancouver, BC. I have passed by many times outside of their business hours. The window display is unique and captivating. I have always wanted to go in. Finally, during one of my trips wondering around town, I remembered that this little store is on Carrall street. The visit proved to be fruitful. Just my luck the owner, Eliza Lau, was in. Her taste matches mine almost exactly.

She has many unique feather accessories, as well as pieces designed by past participants of Project Runway Canada.

Well worth anyone's time of day.
