Happy Chinese New year.
It is customary to wear red and gold colours and new clothes for the first day of the New Year.
There are also a sleuth of things you should and should not do as well. But the fashion rule is my favourite.
It means I can have an excuse to wear something new. Well, not like I really needed one anyway.
The blazer was a recent acquisition from the Aritzia Snooze you Lose sale. Which counts as my new thing, paired with the red pants, I am all set.
Another thing got me really excited today! The Prabal Gurung for Target collection officially drops today.
In Chinese, the Chinese New Year is also called the Spring Festival and the Love collection could not be more appropriate for the upcoming season.
Starting at the amazing price of $12.99. Here are some of my favourite pieces.
Prabal Gurung For Target® Long-Sleeve Cardigan in Meet the Parents Print $32.99
Prabal Gurung For Target® Shirt Dress in Nolita Print $39.99
This one is my absolute favourite!!
Prabal Gurung For Target® Peplum Top in Floral Crush Print $29.99
Prabal Gurung For Target® Lace Overlay Top -White/Black $29.99
Prabal Gurung For Target® Sleeveless Blouse in First Date Print $26.99
Prabal Gurung For Target® Drop Waist Dress in First Date Print $34.99
These prints will no doubt jazz up your spring wardrobe.
This collection will perform very well I am sure. I just hope it can last till Friday for me to finally have a crack at it.

Maison Martin Margiela for HM 70% off
Sometimes, destiny decides what I should post about.
At about 6:20pm last night, a text from my dear friend wrote today's post for me.
Am I an excessive person?

Yeah, even if I wasn't I sure will be deemed one by the end of this post.
Two weeks ago, I revisited H&M for what is left of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection.
Delighted to find out that some of the items have been marked down such as boots and accessories.
Still, most are over $100.00, I left empty handed, willing for further mark downs to soon happen.
Last night, I happened upon the Holy Grail.
Lured in by the promise that now the clear-heel-boots are only $60 I was not able to resist.
Shall we start with the haul reveal?

Early xmas present for my darling.

Here are the culprits that started it all.

I just love the clear heel! Business in the front and awesome-sweet-fantastic in the back.

This whole pile would have no doubt cost me a small fortune if I bought them when they first came out.

But now, they are less than the price of one pair of shoes.
Proves yet again that patience is a virtue that brings good things to those who wait.
If you loved the line like I do, go check out your local H&M, many great pieces are sure to be found.
Consider this an early Christmas present my posers. Have a fantastic day.

My Maison Martin Margiela
Yesterday was the release of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collaboration. I went in the morning to try my luck, but the collaboration wasn't going to open to the public until 11:30am.
Duty calls, so I proceeded onto my day job. Besides, I was not able to get any decent photos with all the glare in the windows anyway.
I returned at night and was delighted to find a good number of items still available.
Plus, evening light makes much better display window photos.

Look at these crazy amazing shoes!
But I really want that leather jacket.
Inside, I headed straight for the accessories table and nabbed myself the waterfall choker. As I looked up, the nude bodysuit with integrated bra and the deconstructed leather jacket are both still available!! Hastily I ran to the fitting room with swag in tow.
The jacket looks pretty good on me I think. Aside from the fact that it was probably two sizes too small >.<
At the present state, there is no way on God's Green Earth I was going to be able to zip it up. Damn those Euro sizes.
Then there is the bodysuit!
As expected, I totally love it! Except it too was two sizes too small. I felt like I was being vacuum sealed inside of it.
But they do look awesome worn together.
Disappointed to the fact that I may only make it out with the choker, I returned to try my luck once again.
Lo and behold, the bodysuit was still available in an array of sizes. Delighted, I grabbed the appropriate size and headed on my way.

Look at that shopping bag, big enough to house these guys.
Really, it only housed these guys.
I love how all the items are re-editions of Maison Martin Margiela garments from various seasons. The bodysuit is circa SS 2007.
The collection is also about re-translating as well. Especially evident in the leather jacket, as it is made from pieces of men's jackets and reformed in a more feminine silhouette.
No doubt my dreams were all filled with deconstructed garments coming back together again..

Maybe I will just buy it. Zipping up jackets is overrated anyway.
