Eco Fashion Week Highlights

Yesterday, Eco Fashion Week wrapped up another successful year.

I feel so privileged to have been able to catch part of the show. Next year, I want to make sure I am there for all of it.

After all, I fully appreciate the message behind this event. For some reason, buying second hand has always made me feel amazing about myself. Not only am I saving coin, I am in someway saving the planet as well.

This year, the action packed second day is what I attended.

Sponsored by Value Village, three amazing local stylists, Nicolette Lang-Andersen, Mimi Lauzon, Tony Vu, created looks for the run way from pieces pulled straight from local Value Village stores.

I also met an amazing photographer who graciously let me use his photos.

The following images are courtesy of Ed Ng.

It's amazing what a professional can do.

Of course, iPhones still have their place as well. Thanks Jessica for taking these photos for me.

The finale of the day features Kim Cathers.

Her talent extended beyond my wildest dreams! She took 68lbs of recycled fabric and thrift clothing and completely transformed them into pieces of couture.

Thanks again for the photos Ed Ng.

I can't wait to see what the EFW will bring.
