Happy Chinese New Year's Eve. It's not until tomorrow, but it's actually already tomorrow in China.
In China, the eve is actually the night people celebrate. Everyone would have a huge family feast and watch the variety show put on by CCTV. Just so happens, it is also my lunar birthday.
When I was in china, my parents would always tell me that the whole country is celebrating my birthday. That statement sure did pump my ego.
But in reality, having my birthday on the only night it's mandatory to celebrate saves my parents a night of marry making.
Don't get me wrong, they are not against marry making, but they are also efficient people. So thus, my true Gregorian calendar birthday is erased from their minds.
It is kind of cool to know that every year my birthday is bound to go out with a bang! It's customary to set off fireworks at midnight to ward away any evil spirits.
So as we welcome in the year of water snake, what are your plans? This is a second chance to start your new year's resolutions again.
To welcome in this occasion, I am going with a less traditional outfit but still incorporating some elements of Chinese New Year celebrations.
Thank you Aberdeen center to doing half the work and providing the perfect back drop.
As for the outfit, I chose to dress in a more subdued colour.
It is the year of the Water Snake after all.
Thus I am echoing that via the Wave Leggings from Romwe. Get them here,

Red and gold are also mandatory colours. Hence my red highlights are making a guest appearance again.
The Gold Coin top from Forever21 offers the perfect amount of gold to represent good fortune.
My hair even matched this trendy store's decor.
They have also decided to sprinkle in red to welcome the new year.
I hope your new year be filled with happiness, joy and good fortune. A fantastic meal and red pockets filled with money is a great start
as always.
