KISS InstaWave for the perfect hair

I recently lopped my hair off!

Since the cut, I have not been curling it as much. The curls falls out faster, plus it's harder to wrap limited hair real estate around a barrel.

However, I was fortunate enough to try this new innovative product.

The KISS InstaWave.

It was kind of intimidating when I first watched the instructional video on the ease of use.

The actual product really surprised me. It is as simple as demonstrated.

You plug the device in, when the light turns blue, you are in business.

Hold the wand straight up, parallel to your face.

Grab a thinner strand of hair and tuck it in the holder on the wand.

Press the directional arrow to spin the hair away from your face.

The curls are very pretty. I find it helps to move the wand down as it spins.

This is half of the head done. Only took about 10 minutes.

And voila!

I am sure it will look even better and take less time the more I practice with it. But for a first attempt, this isn't too bad.

I didn't really section and clip off my hair when I did it, it would be way more effective and efficient if you take the time to do that.

Check this innovative product out, it may just cure your fears of curling, only $45!

Alterations Without Sewing Video

Happy Halloween!!

Phew, that is a long title. But it might help if you really need some LAST minute pizzazz for your Halloween Costume?

Finally did another video. The delay was partly because it took me forever to actually go get the materials needed for this.

The idea came to me late summer. I bought this airy dreamy top from http://www.necessaryclothing.com/ and it was tad too big on me. They ran out of smalls and I took a chance with a medium, it was too big.

You can see from the above photo that the shoulder area is not fitting properly. It also slides off a lot during the day, which is terrible for a professional work setting.

Because this top has a deep v in the back it actually gave me a great idea to solve my problem.

Here is a step by step.

Step 1, gather the materials you need.

Aside from the shirt, you will need some safety pins and a ribbon. I recommend using safety pins that compliments the colour of the garment. I chose gold because the sleeves of the shirt has gold details.

Step 2, line up the pin and determine where you would like to pin them.

I used the ribbon to make sure the pins on the opposite sides line up.

Step 3, thread the ribbon through.

I threaded them just like sneakers, or corsets. I think it looks quite pretty.

Step 4, secure the ends of the ribbon.

Make sure you pin them down so the ribbons are definitely secure.

And voila, you have the finished product.

Aside from making my shirt fit better, it adds such a cute detail.

I wore the shirt the very next day and it looks much better.

I hope this comes in handy sometimes for you guys and help save a shirt you like but ends up being a tad too big. Especially for those online orders.
