Green Embassy SS2015 Collection

Green Embassy closed Vancouver Fashion Week Day 4 with a certified organic bang!

The new offerings brought to you by textile artist extraordinaire Zuhal Kuvan-Mills are truly breath taking. Last season, this show was the sole reason I attended fashion week.

Watching her wearable art work move down the runway is akin to observing nature at her finest. I love the incorporation of men's wear as well.

This dress is my absolute favourite.

It's no wonder Vancouver Fashion Week gave the closing honours to this show. Green Embassy embodies the spirit of sustainability and ecostyle and transforms it into couture fashion that anyone can appreciate.

I anticipate to be seeing much more from this amazing beacon of organic fashion.

Thrifted from Head to Toe: How to layer a vintage slip

Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had a happy Canada Day yesterday.

My last Thrift Shopping Haul post actually didn't really show off the awesome clothing I bought.

It's a must it seems like that if I go thrifting, I leave with more apparel. It's just the nature of my ways.

I love this muted color combination.

a solid maxi skirt does wonders for elongating the leg.

This is easily achieved by layering a vintage slip under a sheet maxi skirt to preserve the soft flowy texture.

That way you can still have the movement necessary with a solid base underneath.

The slip also did wonders to eliminate the static cling that skirt so often prone to.

Next time you are thrift shopping, keep your eye out for a maxi slip, it can be a very useful addition to your wardrobe.
