London Calling

I am a leggings aficionado. When I first saw these London skylines wrapped around legs I had to have them.

When I saw them splashed against red skies I was in heaven.

These leggings are the perfect base to create two completely different looks. One for day and one for night.

I also used the same elements in both outfits as well. A bustier as a top and a blazer to cover up, so the look can be more versatile.

I chose to layer a shirt over the bustier for the day look so it's more conservative.

The faux fur shawl/collar offers some mysterious edge.

Also offers some more cover up when you want to remove the blazer.

To maximize the difference of these two looks, you can also change up the hair and make up. Which I realize I didn't do... (bad Jasmine)

I hope you guys enjoyed these two looks and inspired you to also have some fun with awesome graphic leggings.

Fashion Benevolence :: Obakki Foundation

As a fresh start to this year, I want to draw attention to the amazing things local companies around me do.

I learned of Obakki a few years ago. Their chic minimalistic design drew my attention. From time to time I would stop by the store and admire their unique set up and beautiful merchandize.

Eventually, the physical store was closed, all merchandise are sold online and by other high end stores, so they can focus their efforts on the Obakki Foundation. Since then, they have been drilling and monitoring wells in South Sudan.

Providing the most basic human need is where everything starts.

The foundation also built 2 schools in Cameroon.

Find out more about their meaningful campaigns and projects.

We can help by directly donating to the cause.

Or, my favourite way, by shopping.

The collection of foundation merchandise is very affordable and 100% of the proceeds goes directly to fund their efforts.

I will be helping by making these three items mine.

I love doing charity shopping.

Don't forget their regular collection too, which is 30% off as well.

Hope you will be joining on this meaningful fun as well. Don't forget to tag #Create4Change every time you share your fabulous self and the OF signature scarves.

Life Inspiration :: Candy Crush

Happy Monday!

I choose to write my first post of the year not based, but on something I have been obsession over as of late.

I am sure most of you reading this have heard of a little puzzle game called Candy Crush Saga.

Like any successful game, it is extremely addictive. The innate reward system keeps the player coming back for more. Like any successful business, this game is also very good at making the user spend money, willingly.

So why am I talking about this? One of the reasons why I have been slightly MIA this festive season is because of this little game. Anything that can suck up that much of my time deserves a little recognition.

Also, I have been suffering from slight writer's block these days. This is my third year blogging now and this blog has given me ample fulfillment. I never thought I would be keeping up with a passion so keenly and consistently. However, I am slightly losing sight of why I first started to blog. For the last year, I have not always been writing about what I wanted to write about and struggling to find a focus. This might sound weird, but through the episodic and goal oriented game that is Candy Crush I have come to realize that setting goals and having something to strive for is a good thing.

For this year, I strive to write about what is genuine, and important to me and my belief.

It might take me a slightly longer time to produce the next post, but in the end it will be worth it.

Sometimes, you get stuck at a frustrating level in Candy Crush and you almost want to give up. But success will be rewarded to those who are patience and persistent. Not unlike life, sprinkled with a little luck, some skill and the right timing, anything is possible.

Thanks again for sticking with me.
