A polished office look

This year, I have been drawn to more sophisticated and polished dressing.

Perhaps it has something to do with my day job. I am fortunate enough to have a passion on the side (this blog) as well as be employed doing something else I am passionate about (real estate).

Therefore, my day job calls for me to portray a sophisticated and polished appearance.

Even though I enjoy pushing the envelope and modifying classic looks, I find myself more and more drawn to clean lines and pieces that can be easily interchanged.

Does that mean I am slowing maturing?

There is just something so powerful when the garment fits properly.

Sometimes the most understated look gets the most attention.

Clothing really can change a person. I just feel so ready to close some deals in this outfit.

Having the right shoes don't hurt either. I have shied away from none platform stilettos in the past. I was always worried that I was not going to be able to walk properly in them.

However, the trick is all in finding the right shoe that has appropriate heel placement. The most important thing is to make sure the shoes fits properly. Gone are the bargain hunting days where price tag is the only thing I look at. After all, you are placing our entire body weight on your foot ware, it's crucial to make sure they are comfortable.

These Guess heels are the quintessential combination of form and function. I can last an entire workday in these babies.

Have a fantastic day! Happy well dressing.

Happy New Year:: Thrifted Outfit

Happy New Year everyone. 2015 feels completed different from 2014. I, for one, have been hit with a surge of energy. Being sluggish was so one year ago.

However, to be fair, I was working on my other passion all year last year. Perhaps I will be sharing that with you all soon.

To kick off this year, I decided to chose quite a "boring" outfit.

All throughout last year, I found my personal style maturing slightly. Even when I go shopping I was inexplicably drawn to more professional cuts and fabrics.

Things that would stand the test of time.

Another reason I quite like this outfit is because it's 95% thrifted! All from my favourite thrift store Talize. Lucky me, all the items were another 50% off.

The entire outfit came to a whopping $20. I could probably only buy one sleeve of this Banana Republic cardigan with $20.

Venture out to your local thrift store even if you have never been before. Save yourself some money, as well as the environment.

Happy 2015!

KISS InstaWave for the perfect hair

I recently lopped my hair off!

Since the cut, I have not been curling it as much. The curls falls out faster, plus it's harder to wrap limited hair real estate around a barrel.

However, I was fortunate enough to try this new innovative product.

The KISS InstaWave.

It was kind of intimidating when I first watched the instructional video on the ease of use.

The actual product really surprised me. It is as simple as demonstrated.

You plug the device in, when the light turns blue, you are in business.

Hold the wand straight up, parallel to your face.

Grab a thinner strand of hair and tuck it in the holder on the wand.

Press the directional arrow to spin the hair away from your face.

The curls are very pretty. I find it helps to move the wand down as it spins.

This is half of the head done. Only took about 10 minutes.

And voila!

I am sure it will look even better and take less time the more I practice with it. But for a first attempt, this isn't too bad.

I didn't really section and clip off my hair when I did it, it would be way more effective and efficient if you take the time to do that.

Check this innovative product out, it may just cure your fears of curling, only $45!

KISS InstaWave.
